Chamomile & Lavender Blueberry Smoothie

Smoothie ingredients for recipe on table
Updated on September 25, 2024

When life gets heated, a chilled out dose of relaxing herbs like chamomile and lavender can be just what the herbalist ordered. That’s why we’ve dreamt up this cool and calming herbal smoothie to enjoy any time you’re feeling stressed, frazzled, or fried.

Our herbal smoothie features chamomile and lavender, both of which soothe digestion and calm nerves.* These aromatic medicines contain active essential oils that contain compounds like azulene and terpenes, which aid in their therapeutic benefits and contribute to their uplifting scent. In order to contain these essential oils, we suggest steeping your herbs with a saucer or Tea Buddy on top. This process helps you to achieve the perfect cup of herbal tea to make your smoothie.

Ingredients for smoothie including opened coconut and tea

In addition to featuring nervous system-supporting herbs, our recipe includes magnesium powder to support healthy mineral levels. Many people have low levels of magnesium, which makes it difficult for the body to carry out simple everyday functions.

Our Chamomile & Lavender Blueberry Smoothie is the perfect soother, naturally sweet and supercharged with plant power. Try our recipe and share your creations with us on Instagram, @TradMedicinals.

Keep it cool with our relaxing herbal smoothie.

Serving Size: 2 cups
Total Time: 15 minutes

Materials

  • Blender
  • 1 tea cup
  • 1 tea kettle or pot
  • 1 Tea Buddy or saucer
  • 2 cups to serve

Ingredients

  • 2 Traditional Medicinals Chamomile & Lavender tea bags
  • 8 oz boiled water
  • 1/4 cup canned coconut milk
  • 1.5 Tbsp Coconut Mana by Nutiva
  • 2 dried dates
  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 3/4 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1 tsp Natural Calm magnesium powder
  • Fresh lavender and chamomile flowers, optional garnish
  • Ice, to taste

Directions

  1. Place both Traditional Medicinals Chamomile & Lavender tea bags into boiled water. Steep in tea cup for 10 minutes, squeeze the bag of excess tea, and compost the bags. Remember to cover with a Tea Buddy or saucer while steeping, so all the herbal medicine infuses into the cup.
  2. Once cooled, add your tea and all ingredients into the blender.
  3. Blend, pour, serve, and relax!
