New Book by R&D Manager Zöe Gardner!
The new edition of the Botanical Safety Handbook has just been published! This completely revised and expanded edition was written by resident “herb nerd” and R&D Manager, Zöe Gardner, in cooperation with the American Herbal Products Association. The book reviews both traditional knowledge and contemporary research on herbs to provide an authoritative resource on botanical safety. Zöe conducted all of the background research and writing, with oversight and review by an amazing council of herbal experts.
We’ve Changed Our Look, but Not Our Teas
The only constant is ceaseless change....
Or so says Heraclitus, the ancient Greek philosopher. After nearly a decade, we thought it was time to spruce up our wardrobe. But don’t worry, we haven’t changed the tea inside one bit. We hope you love our new packaging as much as we do. Take a look around and tell us what you think on Facebook
We've Got the Right Stuff
We raise the bar.
The quality standard of the herbs we use is hard to pronounce, difficult to meet, and it’s what makes us different, better. We’re not ashamed to say it. Pharmacopoeial: it’s the only quality standard our herbalists can rely on when blending teas for your health and wellness.Same Old Us, Great New Look
Same great teas. Same old us.
For nearly forty years, we've been (and still are): devoted stewards of traditional herbal knowledge, practitioners of sustainable sourcing, meticulous judges of high quality herbs, caring members of our communities, proud employee-owners of our independent company, herb nerds, and plant people who, without meaning to sound too hippie about it, feel like the plants are talking to us.Solar Powered Teas
Remember grandma’s sun tea?
Well, we took that concept quite a bit further. In 2008, we installed 1,450 solar panels, which at the time made us the United States’ largest solar and wind-powered tea factory. These solar panels provide about 70% of our total electricity needs and we offset the rest with wind energy credits.Give Your Liver Some Loving
