Summary:

The Marketing Coordinator will be an integral support function for the Marketing department. In this role, personal initiative and attention to detail are required for executing department programs. This position will coordinate key consumer promotions (e.g. sampling, couponing, etc.), route packaging and marketing materials for approvals, plan events and meetings, and support the social media, digital marketing, and consumer response teams as needed. The Marketing Coordinator will work cohesively and collaboratively across departments and with outside vendors.

Scope and Responsibilities

  • Manage sampling program logistics including kit creation, inventory tracking, and shipping coordination in close partnership with Brand Managers
  • Facilitate Label Change Request (LCR) process for all packaging
  • Route additional marketing materials (sampling materials, event communications) through the company for approval as needed
  • Support Expo West logistics. Work collaboratively with Assistant Customer Marketing Manager on trade shows and customer meetings, engaging Brand Managers as needed to highlight the appropriate brand message, imagery and products.
  • Review website and implement updates to content as needed, in partnership with digital marketing team and Brand Managers
  • Manage logistics of couponing programs such as coupon creation, coupon redemption, and ad hoc issues resolution (frauds, new formats, etc.)
  • Assist Brand Managers with logistics to execute PR/influencer programs
  • Assist social media team with consumer responses as needed
  • Interface with outside agencies (sampling firms, ad agency)
  • Manage marketing premiums inventory
  • Code departmental invoices

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years experience coordinating marketing projects
  • College degree (BA or BS); background in Marketing, Communications, Behavioral Studies, Public Relations, Business, Computer Science or related field
  • Strong project management aptitude
  • Ability to prioritize workload and take initiative; a self-starter
  • Must be a team player, able to work closely with cross-functional groups and anticipate and react to changes quickly.
  • Attention to detail
  • Critical eye for accuracy; high standards for quality
  • Excellent verbal communications skills
  • Understanding of marketing and communications tactics
  • Computer experience (Microsoft Office, Internet, Facebook)
  • Ability to track expenses against budget
  • Event planning skills
  • Minimal travel (5-15 days per year) to trade shows or events as needed
