Althaea officinalis
relieves Occasional Mild Heartburn*
PersonalityCool and soothing.
Herbal Power
Traditionally used to relieve occasional mild heartburn.*
Reason to Love
When that uncomfortable burning sensation hits— something we’ve all occasionally experienced—this comforting and viscous, marshmallow-based tea is there for you.* Not to be confused with the sticky, sweet confections that once actually contained true marshmallow, the roots and leaves of this beautiful marsh-loving plant contain a substance that is slimy-in-a-good-way, which is what soothes your digestive tract when heartburn hits.* Combined with spearmint, we love the way this mildly sweet and minty tea brings relief.
Taste
Mild, sweet and minty.

Quality
Some of our favorite marshmallow leaf is collected in and around the wild lands surrounding small villages throughout southern Hungary. Gathered in the summer, the leaves are carefully stripped by hand from the marshmallow stalks. Many of these collectors are of Roma descent and depend on herb collection for their livelihood. We work closely with these groups to help continually improve their quality of life.
We've Got the Right Stuff
We raise the bar. The quality standard of the herbs we use is hard to pronounce, difficult to meet, and it's what makes us different, better. Pharmacopoeial: it's the only quality standard our herbalists can rely on when blending teas for your health and wellness.
